Who we are
The Menopause Literacy Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. You can reach us at info@menolitproject.org.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us and what our website tools record automatically.
Information you provide: your name, email address, and anything you write when you fill out our contact form, sign up for our newsletter, register for a workshop, or apply to volunteer or facilitate.
Information collected automatically: our website provider records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, and the site you arrived from.
We do not ask for and do not want your health information. Please do not send us details about your medical history or symptoms through this website, or by any other form of communication.
How we use it
To answer your message
To register you for a workshop and send you the details
To send you our newsletter, if you asked for it
To understand which pages people use, so we can improve the site
To report aggregate, non identifying numbers to funders, for example how many people attended workshops in a given quarter
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We use outside service providers to run this website, our email, and our forms. They process your information only to provide those services to us. Our current providers include Squarespace, Google Workspace, and Acuity.
We will also disclose information if we are required to do so by law.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Some are necessary for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep contact and registration information for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, and as long as required for our records and reporting obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@menolitproject.org.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
